Inferno Tips is operated by Oliver Atkinson, who is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions, correction or deletion requests, email tos@inferno.tips. Signing in is optional. You can practise with progress saved only in your browser.
Discord sign-in and account data
Where account sign-in is available, we receive your Discord user ID, name, email address, email verification status and profile image URL. We store these details with account timestamps, encrypted provider tokens and sign-in sessions. Session records can include your IP address and browser’s user-agent information to manage and protect access. We do not request your password, Discord messages, friends or server list.
We use this information to identify your account and save progress across devices. Your account email, Discord identifier and profile details are not published on leaderboards. Discord processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy. We do not send your drill history to Discord.
Drill results and public scores
Signed-in drills send prayer, movement and supply inputs to our server for validation. We retain lesson identifiers, results, timing, feedback and validation records. If you choose to import browser history, we store it separately as unverified history. It cannot grant verified passes or leaderboard scores.
Ranked runs send gameplay inputs and timing for score validation, even when you are not signed in. If you choose to publish a result, your chosen display name, score, mode, stage and ranking information become public. A guest identifier links scores to your browser; signing in can associate those scores with your account. Avoid putting personal details in your public name.
Browser storage and cookies
Your keybinds, sound settings and browser-only progress are stored on your device. Pending uploads are kept there for retry. Clearing browser data can remove these settings and unsynced results.
Essential cookies maintain sign-in sessions and ownership of guest scores. Account sessions expire after 14 days unless renewed through use; the guest-score cookie can last a year. Short-lived cookies also protect the sign-in process. Blocking these cookies prevents the associated account or score-saving features from working.
Hosting and abuse prevention
Cloudflare hosts the website, API and database. It processes network and request information, including IP addresses, browser information and diagnostic logs, to deliver and protect the service. Turnstile performs abuse checks when signing in, publishing scores or deleting an account. We also limit requests by IP address and account. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We use personal data to provide the account and score features you request, and in our legitimate interests to maintain a secure, reliable service and prevent score manipulation. We do not sell your personal data or use your Discord information for advertising. Access is limited to operating and supporting the service, our service providers, and disclosures required by law.
Cloudflare and Discord operate internationally and may process data outside your country, including the United States. Cloudflare describes its processing and international-transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum.
How long data is kept
- Account details, completed drill summaries and imported history remain while you keep your account, unless you request deletion.
- Unfinished account drills and unpublished ranked-run records are removed by scheduled cleanup after 30 days. Ranked-run input batches are also cleared after 30 days.
- Published scores and their supporting run records remain for leaderboard history until deleted. Removing a score from public view hides it; it does not by itself erase the stored record.
- Expired account sessions and sign-in verification records are cleared by scheduled cleanup. Browser data remains until you clear it or the app removes expired pending uploads.
Provider backups and operational logs may retain copies temporarily under the provider’s retention arrangements after deletion from the live database. Security records may be retained where needed to investigate abuse or meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
Where accounts are enabled, Account settings let you sign out on all devices, export account details and up to 10,000 recent drill summaries, or delete your account and linked public scores. The export is a convenience tool; you can contact us for a fuller access request. Deleting your account does not clear data stored in your browser or delete your Discord account.
The High scores page lets you remove your scores from public view using the browser or account that owns them. For deletion of guest-score records, or if you cannot access your account, email tos@inferno.tips. We may need to confirm ownership before acting. Do not send passwords or sign-in tokens.
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of your data, and object to or request restrictions on certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office.
Staging and updates
This policy also applies to our staging site. Staging accounts and scores are stored separately from production. Changes to this policy will appear here with an updated date; material changes will also be called out on the site.
